About youple.tv
youple.tv lets you watch YouTube videos with friends, in sync, wherever everyone is. Make a room, send the link, and everyone sees the same moment at the same time.
How it works
- One click makes a room. No account needed.
- Anyone in the room can add videos, play, pause, seek and skip. Volume stays on your own device.
- Sponsor segments, self-promotion and subscribe reminders are skipped for everyone together. Change what is skipped, or turn skipping off, with the button below the player. Skip data comes from SponsorBlock under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.
- When you play your own video file, Dolby or DTS sound and old AVI videos that your browser can't play are decoded on your device by FFmpeg (LGPL 2.1, source code).
- Quick rooms close after 30 days without visitors. Sign in with Google, Discord or an email link to create permanent rooms, which keep the same link until you delete them.
- Whoever made a room is its host and can remove someone who is spoiling it.
Free and ad-free
youple.tv is a small independent project. There are no ads or advertising trackers. We keep anonymous room usage counts to improve the service. Videos play through YouTube's own player, so YouTube's rules and ads apply inside it.
